I'm moving to Lindley in Huddersfield next month. Can anyone from the Huddersfield area recommend any good MTB trails that would be local or reasonably local to me? I've been trying to find a book that covers trails in the area, but I'm struggling. Cheers.

Check Facebook groups Calderdale mtb club, ride Kirklees ,west Yorkshire roughriders mbc
One of those has a monthly ride from wappy spring pub toproad alongside the m62

Absolutely tons of riding in the Hudds and surrounding areas, your best bet is to link up with a group of locals. It's what I did when I moved up 5 years ago after trying to find stuff using books & maps, they only cover a fraction of the riding in the area. Also got to know a great bunch of chaps.
