Bought the microspline freehub(HUB558-x12) for the pro5 hub, now swopped over.Â
Fitted a Shimano M6100 microspli9ne 12 speed cassette
Lockring wont do up, or appears for that matter to even engage.
So im doing something wrong.

Thew freehub goes in easy enough, then the little green seal, which should only fit in the one way but theres nothing on it to say which side is which but i think i got that on correctly.
Then theres a black alloy sleeve thing(says microspline freehub 54pos) slides on, all seems fine there.
Then the cassette itself. Pretty much only goes on one way.
Next try to screw on the cassette lockring. - NOPE wont catch the threads.

I've been doing maintenance for years, so its not like im a novice at this.
If i was to suggest what is happening, its like the entire system of cassette isnt going far enough onto the freehub, but **** knows.
Its not 1:40am and ive been fiddling with this for at least an hour. Looking at it, taking the whole lot off freehub and all and refitting, and end up in the same position, lockring wont engage.
Thoughts ? Suggestions ? spare wall to beat my head against ?

Once you reach a certain point, you inevitably go looking for your shot filled mallet and bash the living expletive out of it,
I reckon maybe the green seal thing wasnt sealed down correctly, but as ever the tried and tested method of bashing the crap out of it worked wonders.
