How do stw, where is everyone buying hub bearings from these days, my pro 2 evos are feeling a little ropey, so looking for new ones.
Cheers.
Hopes own kits are normally very good value (use INA bearings when last I looked), but any decent branded (SKF, Timkin, INA, etc) bearing will be fine, personally I won't touch unbranded chinese stuff, but some ppl would prefer to pay less but change them more often..
If you feel brave, pop the seals off your new bearing, it's not hard and you ave to be cack-handed to damaged the seal, and fill with extra grease.
Look for a local bearing supplier (LBS) & give them a ring..
We use Enduro bearings now for everything in the workshop & they're available in various levels.
Abec 3 are the most basic (but very good)
Abec 5, Stainless, Ceramic Hybrid, Max Abec 3 etc etc.
Well worth a look.
Thanks for the replies, I'll have a look at all those.
For wheelbearings as Zippy says - SKF, Timkin, INA. Enduro bearings are a lot cheaper and heard some bad things abut them in wheels. But have heard good things about them when used in pivots due to the ball fill (the Enduro Max ones).
