Hey STW. Please help me fix my ride.
I have a Norco Torrent 7.2, 2016. Very low mileage. The rear hub is a Novatec 148 x 12, through axle. On a recent ride the rear axle came loose with little warning, and now it seems to either want to clamp too hard (wheel won't turn) or too loose (wheel not fully locked in place and slowly loosens further). There seems to be a little wear to the frame's thread. The locking mechanism on the oem axle has always been a bit shit, but i'm not fully convinced that's the issue.
What should I be looking at? Attempt rethreading frame? Try a new axle? Bearings? Stop bothering STW and take it to a mechanic? Cheers.
