Was looking at 'events' for upcoming months and with the XC series all seeming very quiet, including for example the G24 Gorrick which has been cancelled, i was thinking of what to go for and what to do.
These seem to me to be the right sort of things for where i am at the moment with a chunk of my riding. Can't do them all i think, but can see me doing 2-3 without doubt.
I did the Ridgeway one last week and it was good fun. Direction signs were somewhat lacking and I would recommend using GPS to avoid getting lost or missing turns like I did. This was made worse because the organisers used orange ribbon placed in hedges to show some of the turns which is fine unless you're colour blind like me and can't differentiate between orange, green or brown.
Despite this I enjoyed the event and thought it was well organised. Other riders were miserable as sin though - nothing like fellow riders I came across on the Dyfi Enduro or the Scott Mountain Marathons I've done previously.
