Looking at riding the West Highland way with friends in the summer. What would be the best choice?

Currently have a Ti hard tail that i Love and have raced a 5 hour mtb section of a triathlon on. But another 7 hours of bashing could be sore.

Any ways to make it more comfortable or use it as an excuse for looking for a FS Bike ?

I have been riding with friends more and trying more technical and rocky routes in Innerleithen so have been considering a FS anyway 😀

Im starting to think im becoming a hairy assed mtber rather than a silky smooth legged triathlete..........then again I like the feel of my smooth legs.

Sounds like the perfect excuse for a new addition to the stable 🙂

I road the section from Fort William to Kinlochleven and back a couple of days ago on a FS and wouldn't have wanted to be on a hardtail...

FS will mean you can use less energy keeping the bike under control and more energy pedalling. Not a big difference in weight anymore either.
