What's hot and what's not? Polar seem to have lost their reputation for quality.
Don't want basic but don't need kennedy space centre on my handlebars.
Looking for someting that records my HR and can them be down loaded to the PC for analysis and comparison.
Thanks, and curry's being delivered at 8.
Spend a bit more (£180) and you can get a Garmin 500 with HRM which is a much more useful option
Garmin 305 forerunner, can download to training peaks and strava and you can programme individualy crafted workouts onto it. can be got for just over £100
After a bit of searching I found this...
Any one care to comment, puts me off Garmin a little!
Didn't think the 500 had so many problems?
Garmin Forerunner.
Then you can use it as a watch as well, if you want to track for other sports.
My (equivalent priced) Polar was seriously crap by comparison. The data was useless, the link was flaky as hell & no GPS tracking.
The Garmin Connect site is really useful as well for viewing your data/workouts.
I have a Suunto T4 which is quite good as a HRM.
Also have a Garmin forerunner 305, I use the forerunner more.
As above ^^,the forerunner can be used for running / other sports etc.
Good as a HRM and does basic GPS.
Garmin Connect site is really good.
If I was to choose between the Suunto and forerunner, the forerunner would win. A good piece of kit for the money.
A few of us have Edge 500 and have had no problems. I cracked the screen on mine the other week and they replaced the whole unit with an as new refurbed one in under a week for £60ish.
The breadcrumb 'maps' are actually really good on road rides too.
