I am out in Bristol on Friday night so thinking I could pop across the border into Wales for a ride on Friday afternoon.  What's Cwmcarn riding like at the moment?  Trails open?  It's a 3 hour drive from mine to there so any insider info before I set off would be appreciated please.

I rode the Twrch and a bit of Risca off piste recently and that was all running well.

Sometimes Cafell can be a bit overgrown I’ve noticed - haven’t ridden it for a few months but the ferns had gone mad last time on the main climb and it was freaking me out brushing through them as (1) you couldn’t really see the trail and (2) made me worry about ticks given we’re in peak warm / humid conditions for them.

I rode Twrch and Cafall on Sunday - both are running well with no diversions or closures. Cafall is a little over grown in places but you can see the trail and not really a problem.

Rode Caffall on Monday. Looks like they been doing some trimming so most the trail is clear again. All totally rideable.
