I'm sure the grinding paste will be of its usual consistency, just wondered if it was all open. Maybe going early Saturday as all the local stuff is just wrecked at the moment so trying to do my bit and steer clear.

The usual, wet, huge puddles that don't drain, but no mud. Only rode the dog last time I was there, but that was all open apart from the bit 2/3 of the way round that seems to have been closed since the doomsday book.

Rode off piste from the Punchbowl last Sunday & did the last 3 sections of the Dog. The Dog bits were fine but boring. The off piste stuff was an absolute quagmire and a real scream of a laugh.

Mind you, the rain was stopping most of the mud from sticking.

Squelchy away from the main trails wet sand on them. Brake pad eating conditions.

We've had a lot of rain around here recently so it will be soaking with huge puddles on the trails but all rideable.

Off piste will be a mud filled massacre for any moving parts on the bike.

Was fine today a bit of a breeze dries it out quite quickly. Mostly moist, some wet bits and some dry bits but all good.

Really enjoyed it

S9, 10, 11 & 12 on the Dog are closed there's a diversion in place
