Mine was awesome! (It was nice to ride some flat trails after doing half the marin trail twice, followed by a lap of degla yesterday afternoon, so this was more of a recovery ride)

Decided to go for a ride this afternoon. Ended up doing about 37mi, which is about the furthest i've been on the MTB in one ride. (I've done 65miles+ on the roady in one ride)

Most of the riding was along flat hardpack, which was nice and easy, but with a fierce headwind all the way out until i turned around. Finished with a double loop of my local woods, which has some fierce climbing and is definately a FS only area. Oh, and ignoring the wind, the weather was perfect.

Some pics!

and the bike i was riding! (With saddle @ riding height)

and again (But with the seat pushed right down)

Whoo!

Just a really short road ride today, seemingly against headwinds the whole way round so it was hard work and not much fun!

Abandoned and not for the first time. I did a total of 2 miles. Not sure why but I was barely out of the door and I turned round and came home.
I spent more time getting ready that actually riding and I've wasted two Nuun tablets in the process.

Nice pics, glad you had a good ride.

Mine wasn't as interesting, busy family day today but still wanted to do a bit so I set the road bike up on the turbo trainer in the garden, to make it a little more challenging I set it up facing into the wind 😛

I've been riding every day for the last 7 days, mostly Scotland with a couple of days in the Lakes as well. Kind of run out of clean biking kit now!

Just spent the day sorting out everything from my week away and fixing my poor battered bike. Might go out on the road bike tomorrow if this wind has dropped a bit.

Road ride, 60 miles, was flying along with hardly any effort and thought i'd finally got my legs back...then at the turn had 30 miles into the headwind. 19 mph on the way out...13 mph on the way back!

Damn good is the answer.

5 of us out today, White Coppice, Rivington, Belmont, ( with a mid-ride pint at the Black Dog 🙂 )Darwen Moor. I rode from home, so 31 miles in total. Blazing sunshine but a very strong wind-it felt like gale force at the top of Rivington Pike...

But yes, a good day!

🙂

Got back from a weeks solo camping in the peak, where I clocked over 500 miles; so just popped into Manchester on my commuter, met a friend and we have spent the day bike bimbling around the city stopping for plenty of tea and food. We are now sharing a tidy bottle of white in a sunny beer garden, she has just popped a snooze in and I'm enjoying the sun and messing about on me phone; been a great day. Next up will be pop home to scrub up, then more food and beer, life is good!

20 mile road blast, with Burrington Combe climb thrown in to make it worthwhile.
Nearly died coming down through Shipham, woman crossed the road with 2 dogs, traffic coming the other way, as she filled the lane and totally misjudged my speed.

Mine was good today although the wind made the first climb of the day hard work. It mostly helped after that though. Trail conditions in the Pentlands were pretty dry so my Epic has come out of its winter hibernation. Riding my favourite bike on my favourite local trails:

Spent the afternoon barbecuing and having some beers - good day all round really.

18 miles in the peaks today, got several lungfuls of dust but a great day out. From Glossop with a Tail/crosswind to Marple, then back. Had to pedal down Chunal Hill because of the headwind 🙁
Edit: riding across this with a cross wind was interesting to say the least

Mine was also good - 30 miles up & down the downs in Kent - mix of hardpack bridleways, a bit of road & some singletrack.

First ride back following a close encounter with a tree last weekend (which left me with several aches & pains, notably sore ribs 🙁 ) - but no pain during the ride so will be back out tomorrow in the Surrey Hills 😀

Only had time for Cannock, again. Did not pass one other rider, so I wonder if i'm doing the good cheeky stuff. Or perhaps that's the point of cheeky stuff. 😀

Hate to be pedantic but as it's my old school - it's Calday the school, Caldy the place without the extra "a". 🙂

Chilterns were fast and hot today, very few other riders out apart from a couple who shot across my path on their way down to Chequers, in fact everywhere was practically deserted.

I only rode to the pub and back today but yesterdays 40miler was a top day out. Extended a 30mile route navigating and scouting new trails on the hop, five hours on the dot door2door. Ace ride, I'm gonna do it again tomorrow to make sure I remember it all 🙂
