Hi everyone! I have already bought a new bike, i wanna use it to climb mountain but i don't know what I have to do to optimize my bike! thanks a lot! 😀 😀 😀

Simple version get on it and ride it up a hill and see what happens.

It's the engine that needs optimising, not the bike! But go for gearing, as low as you can go. Better to spin up the hill than grind it out.

Find someone fitter and lend them your bike. It's the best way I've found of optimising mine.

Mass combined with gravity means more effort.

Lose any excess weight you may have, then think about lighter bits on the bike (tubes, tyres, finishing kit, wheels).

The key is knowing what budget you have to lose the weight and sticking to it.
