Heading up to Wales tomorrow and looking forwards to a longer ride. Haven't been up for a while. It seems that you can link the new blade trail with the old skyline. Can anyone tell me where this link is so I dont get lost and drop back down into the trail centre by mistake? A gpx file would be very welcome!

you can't miss it...there's signposts. But old skyline isn't what it was...it goes out to that overlook above the little lake, then comes back on not-quite-the-same route. I've done it a couple of times and have felt a bit "meh"

W2 is a pretty big ride. Could it be possible to add Blade on to that for a REALLY long loop?
Apologies if that's a stupid suggestion - its ages since I've been to Afan!

Edit: yes, looks like it could be done but I'd probably want to skip the final Blade descent and avoid having to climb back out from Glyncorrwyg. Might need to try that.

Yep you can cut off the final blade descent and climb back up about for about 10-15 mins, then head down Whites to where the W2 link is. Or, finish Blade, ride down the valley, do y wal then ride back up the valley to Glyncorrwg. (Or if you're FIT, ride back up the Y Wal climb, do the W2 link and finish off Whites 😁)

There was someone on here who claimed to have rediscovered old sections of Skyline.

I had a go at following in their footsteps; I went up to the turbines beyond (I think) Helter Skelter, and picked it up there.

But eventually it petered out and left me trudging through a lot of brambles before eventually coming out in the top of Glyncorrwg.

There were a few awesome parts, and quite a lot of not-so-awesome parts.
