Hi all, I managed to kneel in a pool of tire sealant the other day whilst changing around some tires...

Sadly, I didn't notice until after it had dried. I now have one rubberized knee on my trousers. I've tried putting through the wash at 60° and I've tried using a pencil eraser (Which removed some of it) - anyone have a surefire way of getting stans tire sealant out of clothing?

Perhaps spot treatment with biological washing liquid at 40 degrees might work. Is the fluid latex based?

On a similar note, can anyone suggest a removal method for well dried/ cured expanding foam? Several washes and efforts with cellulose thinners have been fruitless 🙁

Douse it in petrol and throw a match at it.

You cant, once its in and dried that's pretty much game over im afraid

That's one of the reasons i no longer run tubeless on road bikes, high pressure and sealant means you get sprayed up your back before the sealant can do its job, then you have some lovely dubious looking stains all over your arse and back forever, even worse when your kit costs a few hundred quid

Bin. I had one explode off the rim in the dining room all over my trousers. The stains never came out. Sorry.
