I know there are various ways to link to other sites or screenshot routes plotted elsewhere, but just wondered if there was a good way of embedding maps that you've plotted on e.g. Strava, Garmin Connect or somewhere else?

I fancied a forum mega-thread for us pipe-dreamers who plot more than we ride...

I think the only way to do it would be to take a screenshot, host it somewhere then link to it. The maps in Strava are the GPX tracks plotted on OpenStreetMap rather than images so you can't right-click then copy the image address.

You could just link to the route/track if it's public, like this: https://www.strava.com/routes/12259583

Nice, I wasn't sure if that worked, assume you can see this?

It's all irrelevant now as you've stolen my thunder with your route anyway! Have you ridden it yet? Rannoch to Kingshouse was unpleasant last time I tried it...

I can indeed.

The Kinglass-Etive-Rannoch route was one I'd drawn up to do on the fat bikes between xmas & new year a couple of years ago, depending on weather of course. My wife was due to ride this year's HT550 group start but that's highly unlikely to go ahead now so depending on travel restrictions/becoming social pariahs we might head up and do it - again weather dependent.

Nice, I only noticed the Etive section after I posted, hiked that section a few years ago and did see some fat-bike trails. Beautiful spot, especially as you get closer to Ardmaddy.
