Not the computer kind, was struck down on Tues with what I thought was manflu, too weak to get out of bed, shivering, stomach pains if not eating for too long, sore throat.

My lymph nodes are all swollen though, which I'm told means I am/have been fighting off a virus.

Feeling almost back to normal today, been stuck in working all weekend anyway, can take some time back in afternoons this week if I want.

How soon would you get back out on your bike?

When i had flu i wasn't back to a stage where i could ride for about a month, but i'm told that's a long time. Try a short ride and just see how you feel, no other way of knowing really.

ASAP. Been in a similar state to you, since Monday evening. Almost lost a whole week, still feel like I'm about to be sick every now and then. Hoping to get a ride in Tuesday morning (I'm busy tomorrow).

Ride when you feel up to it and want to go for a ride. Simple as that.

Exercise is good for the body and circulation which can help fight off the remains of whatever you've got. Good to get fresh air also. Depends though. If you're a roadie I wouldn't want to be killing my lungs with pollution whilst getting over something, but then I never want to do that anyway. Off road, trees, hills, and fresh air.

Plenty of fluids, and some fruit juice may be good.

If you feel bad whilst out call it a day.

Also, a nuke it with a curry, just to be sure 😀

I would give your body as long as possible to recover, if not you risk feching it up for good.

I wish I knew then what I do now, I might be able to ride my bike.
