Do you kink your hose up inside the frame or cut it short so that it runs straight inside the frame and leave enough to remove the post and get to the thingamajig?
I cut my highline short as possible as any bends or kinks hindered the action of the post.
My only concern is that if I take it short as possible for me, if I come to sell the post it might be to short for the buyer..
If you can remove it from the frame then surley it's long enough for a future buyer? Also I'm not quite sure how bends will hinder a hydrahulic hose?
EDIT - ah you said sell the post and not the bike! Ignore me. But yea, cut it to suit you
it should be the right length for you. No excess hose.
It's only a few quid to replace the hose in the future, so if the next buyer wants a longer hose, they can sort it themselves.
are you talking about being able to remove the post and access the hose without undoing the bar lever?
I can't create enough slack to do this without unscrewing the remote and feeding the hose through, which isn't a problem but could be if you have full internal routing. If it was long enough to do this without undoing the remote then I think it would be too long.
This on the 2018 spectral, as the downtube now has there Bolt on cable channels this doesn't give you any space for a bit of slack.
As mentioned above I normally go for the unbolt the lever approach and feed the cable in to remove the post.
