amazing ride - especially at the end, lying down asleep in the rain by the side of the trail - epic stuff

The first three didn't really convey the sense of tiredness/epic, I pull my bike through a section of bog and cross a river each time I commute, needed to keep in mind that some of those paragraphs were summing up 30 mile stretches! That last one sounds properly hardcore though!

🙂 if I have one complaint about Phils report it's that he seems to be too modest in his appraisal of his ability to slug it out through that terrain. Having ridden and/or walked most of it I am completely in awe of the speed at which he covered it all.
