Considering making the switch to a 1.9" Panaracer Gravelking + Orange seal endurance setup, but wondering how often I'll likely have to reinflate the tires. With tubes it's once a month.

What's your experience?

It varies according to the tyre and the weather. I'll check (thumb test) as part of the usual pre-ride check and add air if necessary. I'll do the same with my tubed road bikes so it's no big deal.

Once a week. Some tyres are worse than others, have a specialized fast trak which will lose a few psi a day.

I tend to check / inflate tyres every time I ride my tubeless mountain bikes. They can lose a few psi in a week - that’s varying tyre / rim combos. Run with stan’s standard sealant.

I haven’t gone road tubeless but I’d imagine at higher pressures they could lose pressure quicker but that’s just a guess.

Put my first set of tubeless on a few months ago. Not added air since.

Got a tubeless bike in march.
Back tyre I think I have had to do it once.
Front had to do it several times in a fortnight. When i stopped being lazy and looked at it properly though there was a blackthorn still embedded in it which I think was moving about and so leaking air. Pulled it out and then after reinflating havent needed to again.

Jordan what's your setup? Guessing a low psi situation?

Varies - I find mine lose pressure slowly like a psi or two a week. Thats non tubeless tyres set up with sealant

Depends how well they're taped mostly. Probably once every week or two if you want to keep them at an ideal pressure but they'll stay rideable for a lot longer.

I check most rides as it varies with temperature and how long they have been left. Might even be taking some air out if has got a bit hotter. Then there's where I am going to be riding - rocks or roots etc as there's a few psi difference there. Yeah, I nerd out over this a bit 🙂

Panaracer Gravel Kings (38C) do need checking every week or so in my experience. Using Stan's tape and fluid on tubeless-ready wheels. They wouldn't deflate completely but would be deffo lose a bit of air.

I pump my tyres up every time I ride, tubed or tubeless

It varies according to the tyre and the weather and wheels and sealant and be-arsedness.

I had some Hutchinson Taipans on Stans Crest rims and they never needed pumping (about 35psi in em). Those wheels have Goodyears on now and last time I squeezed em they felt like they'd kept air.
Er, yeah, not really worth mentioning any more specifics as they are all different.

Check mine before every ride. If only riding once a week I find mine drop 2-3psi over a week. That’s on average as some of my tyre/rim combos are worse that others.

@yohandsome budget Geax Barro Marathon tyres from On-one on DT Swiss E2200 rims, stans tape and sealant. 36psi.

Here's what I'm thinking:

Panaracer Gravel King 650b 1.75" slicks (year old, run them at 40 psi)
WTB i23 rims (would need to be cleaned and degreased)

Plan to get:
Orange endurance sealant (3 oz pr tire)
28mm WTB tape (single layer, doubling over valve, might be better tapes out there)
DT Swiss Tubeless Valves

From what I gather, I shouldn't need to inflate the tires more than once every 2 weeks, maybe 1 month if lucky.

My old wheels and tyres - never, unless I needed to add more for a rocky ride (so once and then not deflated).
New wheels - once a fortnight for rear wheel and none for front...

Mine lose about 1 psi or so a week. I check them before every ride. Stans sealant in Maxxis high rollers, tubeless ready.

When I had a Magic Mary/Hans Dampf setup they kept pressure for ages. Running Specialized now and need to pump them up a bit every time I go out.

Schwalbes on mine and my son's bikes don't need much topping up at all. A Spesh i have on the other hand needs air every time I use the bike!!

So the tire seems to be the biggest deciding factor here as long as things are set up properly?

Road bike - each and every ride. Pro-ones

Gravel bike - weekly or so. G-One speeds

Mountain bike - hardly ever. 2.8 Nobby Nics/Rocket Rons

Fat Bike - never topped up as I’m sulking at the moment as I can’t get the Maxxis Mammoths to seat.

Schwalbe Hans Dampf and Rock Razor seem to go weeks before needing a top up. Continentals, albeit SuperSonics which strictly speaking aren't tubeless compatible, need topping up every ride. All with Stans sealant. The road bike is tubed and need topping up weekly.

Summary of inflation frequency:

Road-bike: Every 5 minutes.
Gravel bike/commuter: 1 to 4 weeks (primarily depending on the tire)
Mountain bike: Once a year
