Im looking at the new giant tcr disk that is due to be released at some point in the near future. The web info says that in America it will cost $4700 which converts directly to around £3500. Is it more likely that they will just swap the $ and £ signs around and it will cost closer to £4700?
I suppose I can go and look on giant USA and compare current models with the U.K. price but does anyone have any previous examples?
Andy
I dunno, but it does look lovely. I've been admiring the current TCRs in my LBS - such nice looking bikes.
It's funny how there's a big gap in Giant's road range between the reasonably priced Advanced bikes and the very expensive Advanced Pro ones.
I think its 15% import duty, then 20% VAT.
I just spoke to my lbs who reckon that giants tend to work out quite close to a direct conversion.
I had a look at a few on the USA site and compared to think but there was no pattern. Some were close. Some were more expensive and some were quite a bit cheaper i didn't check specs though which may vary.
It's a lovely looking bike and has everything I am looking for in my next road bike.
