you think "May as well sell it it's just gathering dust in the bike cave "Though i know i would regret it and would probably stop going on riding holidays . 😥
Only ridden once last month , been fading away since i bought a Raijin back in August just at the time i'd convinced myself it wasn't too much bike for the U.K. 🙄
Guess it's not hurting anything and fortunately not desperate for the money but it has a habit of gnawing away .....

This happened with my Blur. I realised I'd not get anywhere near as much for it as it would cost to replace if/when I eventually wanted that type of bike again, so just held on to it. Right enough, I started using it again.

Similar dilemma here, I'm only keeping it for the odd Wales trail centre trip (4-5 days a year), when renting would be a pain because my riding buddies don't. (And it's not worth much anyway).

If I do a proper Alpine trip, I'll rent an up to date full boinger.

stop going on riding holidays

those four words says it all, when you do ride it do you smile and say your glad you still have the spicy er YES

Put a sheet over it you will not get back what it cost, take it out occasionally and rag the hell out of it smile and put it back under the sheet till the next time.

Yer clown 😉

+1 i feel the same, actually considered ebaying the frame/shock as everything else would fit the P7.
then i ride it and smile.
so i just treat it like a toy now and use it the same way i would use a ferrari if i won the lotto.
cube ams 130 btw.

Spend some money on it and it will feel like a new bike. Always a winner!
Then add to the collection with a cross bike, hardtail, road bike, winter road bike, 29er, classic bike from 1930, tandem,........

Never sell bikes - you'll only regret it (my main FS bike is my 2002 Stumpy FSR - still love it!)

Mmm, other people borrow my full susser and ride it, I don't have time.
And after what appeared tonight it's gone back a bit further on the list of bikes to grab and ride.
Opps :o)

Nah, get rid. Kept hanging on to my Ventana but finally, finally came to accept that I just wasnt in to it anyway. Buying a more expensive 29er HT finally did it. Didnt look back.
Well, until my mate offered me his Ventana to loan. Built it up. All very exciting, had a day off for the first ride etc....
Managed two rides, & on each ride within 5 mins I was missing my Niner. Came home regretting wasting a days holiday that could have spent on the clown wheeler. 🙂

I honestly dont miss the FS.

Don't worry, I left my 2006 stumpy FSR alone for nearly 4 years.
Must have only done 200-300 miles in its long neglected life as 1st child put a stop to the boys riding weekends and i got into road riding as it was easier to get away with. Started a strip and rebuild a few months ago, the juicy 3s we're well shot....apart from that, it's mint \o/
Going to take her out over Christmas 🙂

OF, I sold my Helius earlier this year due to lack of use. Prefer larger wheels and found it was just gathering dust.
I now have one of these which is more than capable, just need to get some time to ride it that's all

I sold a San Andreas as I also had an Orange 5 that did about 80% of what the SA did for about 80% of the weight (heavy long travel build), everytime I see a picture of one I regret selling it.......

My Pitch has been untouched since about May. I brought it back from Tenerife, had the shock serviced and hung it up. There's a couple of niggles that need fixing but it's ready to ride.
I'm not going to sell it (although I keep thinking I might....) because it's well battered and its worth more to me than it is to sell on now. If I only use it once a year I'll just hang onto it I think. It was a good bike new and it'll still be a good bike in 5 years time. 🙂

If you dont need the money then just keep it, you'll use it again at some point.

I've got a 2005 enduro that I dont use anymore since I got my mojo hd. I dont need the money (not that it would fetch that much anyway), and figure that if the HD is ever broken I can use the enduro as a spare bike.

My Pitch goes through flurries of avtivity.

Sometimes I'll do 200 miles on it in a week (which is a lot for what it's built as!) riding localy and doing weekends away. Then over the winter it'll bearly get touched.

I won't sell it becasue most bike related things don't degrade in storage so it's not costig me anything other than depreciation. And seeing what Pitches go for on Ebay that all seemed to happen in the first week.

About a year for me. Bought mine to go whistler last summer, came back about this time last year and been going back and forth with the HT for a while til i realised there was no need for it!

Unused Yeti 575 for a year and a half.

Finally got round to stripping it, making a new rigid singlespeed winter bike and selling the rest.

It was good fun but I ride with fast people and they are much slower/less efficient up hill IMHO
