And if so how?
Obviously some of you will know I've contributed by helping with certain skills questions being asked or even recommending a good product through shear experience instead of it being pushed in your face through marketing hype, one thing I've always praised myself on is helping others out when struggling with these kind of questions, hence why I became such a popular figure in the mountainbike industry.
I thrive on challenges, whether it be winning races, koms on strava or helping out the most unbalanced new comer to ride a bike properly around a trail centre, but one thing I like to do when not busy doing all this is to help out on this forum answering questions, it gives me a great sense of satisfaction. 🙂
Anyway, I have noticed however there does seem to be a lot of takers more than givers on this forum ie. Forum members asking for codes all the time on their first post, or where can they get the cheapest product from etc...So what have you brought to the table? 😆
i have been on this forum for over 10years. helped people and have have been help in return and met some amazing friends too 🙂
Much entertainment, a bit of route advice, some sage advice, good companionship and several group rides
So what have you brought to the table?
The table cloth?

I made Bruneep a Hammerschmidt adaptor
I think like the forum, therefore I am the forum!
Dear richmtbguru
Long time lurker first time poster here...
I'm so impressed with your popularity and advice I've fashioned my user name after your own - although obviously I couldn't claim to be a guru like yourself.
Please can you tell me the best way to avoid internet trolls
Many Thanks
Rich - one of your better ones! I still can't work out if mtbguru is an anagram of Postlethwaite or not?
Tell me this is a wind-up?
This is a wind up!
I've contributed a video made recently by some of my mates, of me riding downhill. The editing demonstrates my new post-op assets beautifully. And with the wig underneath a full face helmet, its almost like I've undergone the full transformation. You'd never know.
Just need to get the old chap lopped off now, and Bobs yer uncle. Or yer auntie.....
Definitely someone's second login (aka sockpuppet) 🙂
when/where are shears or experience of them required for cycling?

I banned someone once.
I have helped the tattoo haters have a giggle at my ink work, made boys and girls swoon at my manly cake fuelled body and enthused about niche tat and sold my wonky ring on a regular basis (usually in darkened alleys). Oh and helped John drummer find some new goth bands. I'm more ace than a scratch and sniff sticker me, one of the good ones though, not the banana one as that was always poo
I banned someone once.
I think you banned someone lots of times 😉
About time for another one, Drac?
I verbally masterbate once in a while 😆
I banned someone once
Do you do requests ?
🙂
I verbally masterbate once in a while
I mentally spell check other peoples posts.
hence why I became such a popular figure in the mountainbike industry.
QotW
people's
Grammar is other peoples problem.
😉
I am this forum.
(while we are on the subject of delusions of superiority)
What has experience of hair clipping/gardening tools got to do with recommending a MTB?
I've bought boobs to the forum* - to help combat all the willy waving that goes on
*as in by being a girl - and no i don't care if the thread is useless without pics you will have to trust that i own a pair
I helped fund it with a sub for a year
I only contribute the best advice. Some people often disagree with me, and they're wrong.
Oi wench I've bought moobs so ner ner na ner ner 😛
20 something quid a year, get's me a 'P' next to my name
i don't care if the thread is useless without pics you will have to trust that i own a pair
It's OK, we've seen your video.
I've bought moobs
What cup size are you going for? Oh, and pics, obviously.
they aren't big enough to count Tazzy - I'm sure there's many on here that could beat yours 😉
I wish I had brought popcorn to this particular viewing of the forum. This will be fun.
@njee20... brilliant 😆
*sobs uncontrollably* oh and CFh look at a taz tattoo thread and my inky man frontage is there for the world to see ( and have a bit of sick in its mouth afterwards)
Obviously I meant in size not . . . Umm . . artistic merit??
Bloody mentalist! 😀
Phew! I thought no one could be that far up their own backside without causing a black hole!
I've contributed nothing!!
Learned loads though, music, opinions, politics , stuff and its v funny 😆 (dunno how many look at other forums, dyou know how special this place is I wonder? )
I've contributed nothing!!
Oh I don't know, http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/my-life-hollyoaks-ep kept us all entertained.
I've helped a few wheelsize debates to tick along. Is that not enough?!
i have organized ton's ( 😉 ) of forum rides in the past, which i reckon created some long term friendships amongst folks on here.
hopefully one day, i will organise some more.
I banned someone once.
you banned yourself aswell, which I thought was good 🙂
Well, I try and help out where I can, but having such a limited skill-set, questions about Specialized Pitch's, Latvian hookers, beekeeping and Public Rights of Way (my job) are only occasionally asked about *shrug*
I contribute a level of stupidity nobody else can be expected to muster.
(Oh and lots of music that no-one has heard of or is remotely interested in because they still listen to the Genesis and Dire Straits albums that their dads gave them in 1988)
(See).
you = milkshake
us = boys to the yard
<swoon>
again, I refer to the OPs STW profile, where he sets out his bridge-dwelling credentials
Been in the bike industry all my life, from teaching to guiding, I’m very passionate about my riding and there’s not much I don’t know in the industry, I suppose I’m like the ray mears of the biking world!
hence why I became such a popular figure in the mountainbike industry.
Shhhhh, quiet everyone. Gather round, listen to this man.

Oi, I bought my *own* albums in 1988 thank you very much
and you *did* run that prize draw didn;t you?
I ensure correct apostrophe usage.

The weird thing was how long it took him to get going - a few absurd posts but it wasn't until recently it's really stepped up a gear very odd.
Like CFH I judge and belittle others for poor spelling and grammar. I also help where I can on XC racing/race bikes and the like.
Rorschach
go watch some porn...... 😀
and you *did* run that prize draw didn;t you?
Yep. Stupid eh? 🙂
Posting something so ruinous to my personal character and online presence that the mods are begged for thread deletion. Usually by me after everyone's settled down with tea and biscuits.
This stands as a contribution thusly:
a) It reminds people not to use their real name on the internet.
b) It reminds me not to tell the internet everything.
Oh, and I have been known to start the odd thread that unites warring factions in a shared dislike. Of telemarkers. 😉
telemarkers? Is that like a colloquialism of the heroes of telemark?
you = milkshakeus = boys to the yard
<swoon>
😆
I ensure correct apostrofee usage.
You spelt 'apostrophe' incorrectly. 😉
I also abuse petulant ginger types on this forum whenever possible.

Get to the back of the line ,you amateur. 🙂
Oh yeah, except fasthaggis. He's really stupid.
I brought some stuff out of my shed to sell, and my own delusions of adequacy.
I hacked the site to randomise double posts
richmtbguru = pussywillow ?
defo faster than you.
"Sheer".
They you go, I helped you OP, personally.
I've brought along many internet minnows to full Big-Hitter-hood.
No need to thank me.
I've provided a few photos of seatposts wayyyyy up in the air. About it really.
I call people that say "hence why" cretins. OP you are a cretin.
I started the mint sauce key ring thread, my contribution is assured.
I bring love..
Love and understanding
richmtbguru = pussywillow ?
Nah, pussywillow comes across as a petulant teenager rather than a troll.
Not much here, tend to be a taker not a giver, a spoonee rather than the spooner.
I'm on the fence when it comes to telemarking.
Reserecution is my main contribution to the forum oh and spellling osbviously
