Tried to replace a brake hose on my Hope Race brakes and the tread on the master cylinder body has gone.
Option 1 - new lever £90
Option 2 - buy the body and swop lever and internals over. £30 but not certain if I need any special tools?
Would rather Option 2 but have never stripped a brake lever before..

Piece of cake, only a few bits in it. The lever clamp on my Mono Mini gave up after a decade of over-tightening so I got a new body from CRC (for a ten year old brake!) for £30 or something and moved stuff over. I don't remember the procedure but it was surprisingly easy.

For reference you need a T10 security torx driver for the stop plate screw & an 8mm spanner (luckily I have both).
