I've entered the chain reaction builth marathon this weekend, just wondering what the course is like compared to the dyfi in trems of difficulty?(suffered at the end!)
I've gone in for the half marathon but dont want to finish feeling like i could have done more?
cheers

Did the Dyfi in 2008 and it's rockier and more technical. Builth tends to be XC orientated but if it's this dry at the weekend it'll be a good fast course. The different distances usually, though not always, follow the same route until they diverge. This means you can choose at the half marathon split whether to carry on and do the full distance or only do the half. Doesn't matter what distance you've entered, you ride which ever one you like on the day.

I did the last Built 50k marathon and it was quite a lot easier than the Dyfi. Mainly due to it having half the amount of climbing to do but the descents are a bit tame (boring). If you managed the Dyfi, you'll have no problems at Builth
