The hose on my medium 5 spot has to run on top of the rear triangle due to the geometry of the frame. If i do not cable tie it on to the triangle it likes to drop down between the frame and it looks like it could easily be cut into as the suspension bobs.
The cable tie solution is ok short term but the hose always moves around and never settles into a workable area where i am happy with it.

I have accepted that it is just one of those things that i just have to live with but just incase i am being a muppet how do u guys / girls run yours.

Ta in advance

I have a medium 5 spot 2010 and the hose on mine is uncut. i have it running along the down tube with a slow bend going straight up the seat tube from the bb. This looked the best on mine plus when the seat is drop the loop of hose doesn't catch or impead anything.

Might have a look at that jimr80, my 5 spot is a 2011 and it has built in cable guides on the top tube for dropper posts but i might have to get my imaginitive head on to fix this problem 🙂

Ta for the reply 🙂

Best bet is look on the mtbr forum and there will be loads of pictures on there so you can judge for yourself.

Mac

I'm running my 5 spot 1x 10, which freed up the cable guides for the front mech on the top tube. But the bend in the hose when the seat is dropedp was too tight and looked as if it could kink it over time.

Yes that kink when the seat is dropped is what annoys me, it has a life of its own 🙂

Ill check out the mtbr forum for some ideas. Cheers 🙂

I have a small spot, which was a nightmare to sort. I run mine alongside the front mech outer unfer the top tube. Then form a loop on the drive side and run it up to the post. I tywrap it to the top tube so the rocker plates dont catch it

When i ran it 1x10 i also used the front mech attachments.
