Hi chaps,
In about to order a frame kit for ny Turner 5spot, before I go at it with a hammer and drift, can anyone give me tips on removal and fitting of the frame pivot bushes?
Cheers

A vice and sockets or some dedicated press parts is more reliable/safe than hammering them out, you don't want to start ovalising the frame parts. Threaded bar and washers/nuts are also handy if you've not to access to a vice
Pull them out / push them in with a threaded bolt and assorted spacers & washers. A socket set works well for various size of spacers. Plenty of penetrating fluid around the old bearings if they are stuck. Grease the new ones before you press them in. Avoid the hammer & drift! Look it up on youtube bound to be a vid for your specific frame. Have fun!
So.... just to be clear, these are bushes, not bearings.
They're kevlar top-hat style bushes, I've got a threaded bar I've used for pressing bearings in before, but I was under the impression that bushes weren't as tight fitting as bearings...
Anyone done this on the Turner before?
Google is my friend 🙂

Use a knife! Simple. 🙂
Or, for anyone else looking for info, a G Clamp, or Quick Grip is ideal:
