That's not for a cassette hub but rather for a screw on one - you use a tool that fits the splines you can see inside the cassette.

Two chain whips. One to hold the largest sprocket whilst you unscrew the smallest sprocket anti-clockwise.

FREEWHEEL tool, freewheel tool slots into the slotty bit. And undo with a spanner, rather like a BMX freewheel remover, only you get to keep youre knuckles.
If youre near Leighton Buzzard you can use mine

grimy's method normally results in a torrent of very small bb bearings (3/32" i think) and leaves behing the carrier section of the freewheel.

i would imagine odannyboy was poking fun at CRC's incorrect classification of a freewheel.

Park FR1C tool, Grimy is actually talking about the original Suntour type cassette system, in which the lockring is actually the outer sprocket.

No, the one pictured has the longer splines you need for a screw-on freewheel cassette.

Pictured tool is the correct one, cassette tool has deeper splines, but does look similar.

Oldgit is correct. A cassette remover is shorter with more narrow splines like this -

That is the VERY OLD style freewheel and not a current type cassette.

The cassette is screwed on to the hub like a bmx one.

Sorry, My bad, I wrongly assumed you wanted to remove the sprockets off the freewheel, in which case I am quite right. The smallest sprocket unscrews anti-clockwise off the freewheel so you can slide off the rest of the sprockets. Did one in work the other night on a collegues bike so we could clean them up in the solvent tank. 😛
