Apart from a m**guard
I've tried various duct tape size / positioned patches but nothing any good really. I just now remove the saddle every fortnight or so and pour water down the pin hole / scrape crud out with a small allen key - takes 10 mins or so.
I'd be amazed if anyone has a good reliable answer. Theres a vertical hole and recess with an oring separating the internals from the muddy outside world.
I now use a good chunk of grease on the outer hole - but the ultimate fix is a new internal oring. Which means a proper stripdown.
