I don't mean "what length do I need" I mean know the lengths I need, and I've got some spokes and I need to check they are correct. I don't have a spoke ruler to do it properly but I do have a steel rule and a brain!
So, do you measure from the end of the thread to the inside of the elbow, or the outside of the elbow or to some other point?
Cheers 🙂

I think it's the inside of the elbow?

Inside of elbow to end of thread. A spoke ruler is just a steel ruler with a hole to put the spoke head through!

Inside the elbow to the end of the spoke unless I'm very much mistaken. So with a steel rule you hook it over the end and see where the end of the spoke comes to, that's it.
