I have a mystery on my hands.
One of my 4 pairs of bib shorts has a lot of damage to the seams holding the pad on. Very reputable manufacturer with good reviews everywhere.
My saddles are all very standard saddles (Fabric Line, Selle Italia Flite) with the exception of a new snub nosed Bontrager Aeolus which I've only ridden once for 25km to try it out.
That 25km ride was using the damaged shorts but I don't know if they were damaged before the ride!
Am now wary of using Bontrager saddle with any other shorts in case it causes same damage... Couldn't see how damage was caused though, I certainly don't have any sore or chafed bits and there are no sharp edges on saddle.
Anything else I should rule out?
Useless without pics.
Are the damaged shorts new or have they done plenty of miles on other saddles?
Had shorts for three months, have been rotating them with other (different brands) shorts.

Grit and wet. It's karma for gravel.

There's your problem. They're only supposed to go on the one way.
Sandpaper on the saddle?
