The google maps cycle layer is missing a lot of information in my area.
How do I 'update' or ask for an update?
Is the info user edited? Not really used google for cycle stuff.
I look over the strava heatmap from time to time in order to find new stuff, though..

Particularly good for when visiting new places.

STATO - not available at present...
And 'my maps' is only for me.
I just note that Sustrans, Stirling Council and Google maps have all 'forgotten' that we have some cycle routes / lanes...

The wait is over! Well, almost…Map Maker will be reopened for editing in early August
Ive added plenty of cycle paths in the past (including some fairly major paths!), if they are not on already its down to google source data. Essentially now though its moving to users to manage, as google has done as much as it can/wants-to in getting it available all over the world.
The editor is fairly painful to use tho, at least it used to be.
Why not contribute to OpenStreetMap?
It already has lots of cycle routes mapped, and it is free and open, so can be used in a variety of ways.
