Anyone explain in dumbass terms please?
Just need to wind in the limit screws (small screws on top of mech ) to restrict the mech movement to the appropriate range and readjust the cable tension so that there's no slack.
thats what i have tried but the shifts are so bloody tight!
what he said - it doe snot care it is just a spring that moves
adjust inner screw to be on inner ring
adjust outer screw to be on ring
attach cable = Job done
15 mins or so - most of that working out which screw does which then forgetting if you are like me

Its no diffference to just using 2 out of 3 on a triple.
