all the brands. testbikes etc......head to head consumer tests. massive beer tent (of course) etc...
who's in?
They do those already.. Least I've been to one.
Didn't have ALL the brands though. Or a beer tent.
see, they don't do that already 🙂
They don't do that Tony,it makes too much sense.

😆
Sounds like a good idea, it'd be interesting to see it get up and running. I'd be up for a days riding on someone else's bike too.
how much fun would it be though. like a glasonbury of mtbs!
the ones I have heard about are all "trade" only demo's at Lee Quarry which are distributer led
A beer tent and lots of demo bikes at a trail centre...
... I think you can see way that's not a go-er.
Sounds like a good idea to me. It'd need a good location though. innerleithen'd be perfect, if it weren't in such an inconvenient place for most of the country. Lots of space, millions of trails of different flavours...
Birmingham is in the middle ... perhaps around Cannock?
Demo bikes.
Healthy discounts on products, services, MTB holidays if booked on the day.
Guided night ride with demo lights. Hope/Exposure?
Bike treasure hunt, trailquest type thing.
Pump track, timed laps with prizes. (would need to build one)
Beer tent. (+ambulance, see Druidh's comment above)
Camping.
Glentress or Innerleithen would be handy for me please.
Free skills coaching sessions would also be a good idea. Not sure who could do that though. 😉

If Carlsburg did demo days.........
Mind you if it was at Glentress or Inners it would be:
If Tenents super strength did demo days......
The demo days at Laggan sound like that already...
rain.
jedi - come to the Big Bike Bash. It has demo bikes, it has a beer tent, it has live music, it has a mixture of different trail types and the trade area isn't that much smaller than this years cycle show*
*we had about a dozen trade stands
Bring back the bamford mountain bike festival.

I never took it!
That's one suspect off the list. WCA you may now leave the forum and go about your riding for the day.
its a jolly good idea, only charge the traders enough to cover facilities/first aid and insurance as needed, no entry fee for the public 🙂
parking would be interesting though!
Bristol: AC, LW and 50A trails? Ashton Court is geared up for festivals.

It would be fantastic. Weekend of riding. I could see Glentress working as you could use the Tweed valley. Downhillers could go down the road, xc riders have a good selection of trails. There's enough riding natural and signed that it wouldn't get too crowded. Manufacturers could even do road bikes as there's some good road rides in the area.
Wouldn't be massively different to the Tweedlove festival it just needs the manufacturers to turn up. I expect the smaller guys would need to take the lead though as I see them as being more interested in mountainbiking as a sport rather than a money making excercise (although they are still in it to make money).
Wouldn't work though would as the niche brands wouldn't turn up as folk would realise their bikes are no better but more expensive than others.
It does sound like the demo days at Laggan, at least the ones I went to a few years ago. Big BBQ, beer at the end (if you take your own!), loads of brands and great trails. Tweedlove sounds like it was good, maybe it'll grow from there?
FWIW I'd love to come to something like that, both as a 'trade' person and as a punter to ride cool bikes on cool trails and drink beer.
Malvern Hills Classic? They were the days eh!
it'll be the mtbers closer in one show instead of diving both the trade and riders
