Horizontal Dropout Gear Hanger … Are They All Equal

I have a Genesis Fortitude Adventure frame that is currently built up as Genesis intended … with an Alfine.

For various reasons I’m thinking about trying out a conventional derailleur.

I’ve seen a few, but never used, a dropout hanger/chain tensioner.

I can believe they are all a bit of a faff if you get a puncture but that aside are they all much of a muchness?

Any recommendations?

Not used an adapter as my Longitude has a derailleur hanger built in, but if you don't already have a rear wheel, one of these hubs and these axles makes it way easier to remove.

Got super annoyed trying to wrangle the qr hub in and out of the slot, whereas the Zee hub can just drop out like a thru axle wheel.

Steezysix is dead right about that, zee + thru axle on my longitude is a doddle but qr wheel set is a pain.

Thanks folks, that’s a good suggestion.

I’ve got a Hope hubbed wheel ready so I could go 10mm bolt through or with a bolt up axle.
