Hi All

I am looking to go up to Sheffield in the next week, and was hoping one of you lot could give me some advice for a 30 mile or so ride around the Hope valley

How do you reverse only the Jacobs Ladder part? Not being arsey just wondering, the only bit of the original route you'd do is down the beast and along the shore of Ladybower then hang a left to go down Roman Road?

As always I'd highly recommend this book if you're going to be a semi regular up here. Or even as a good read. https://www.v-publishing.co.uk/books/mountain-biking/peak-district-mountain-biking/

When you get to the bit of the map that says food station instead of going into edale and up jacobs, follow the bridleway (hardenclough) to pickup the route along rushup edge, then follow the route in reverse, it takes you down jacobs, and back to where you took the hardenclough bridleway, ie turn the route into a figure of 8. RUshup edge et al are also better done in this direction (IMO anyway) . I guess its not just reversing the jacobs bit, but its probably the better way of doing it.
