I have just bought some RS Pikes from Biketart. I have now tried three brake adaptors - Shimano, superstar and hope’s own. But the calliper will not sit on the brake disc. Is is like the adaptor in 10mm too big. So the calliper seems to only cover the outer edge of the braking surface ... it is as though it has shifted 10 mm out!
Hope V4 calliper ....
If I fit the Saint brake that I have a spare, it is fine.
BTW 203 disc , 2018 RS Pikess...
Any suggestion as it is driving me mad!?
Are you using the correct Hope adapter... there are many
Was going to ask what mounts. 2018MY Pikes are 180mm disc-ready without a mount. Sounds like you are using a PM160-PM203 adaptor for pre-2018MY Pikes.
I think a Hope H is what you should use
I believe it is an H mount I bought .... http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/hope-post-to-post-disc-brake-adaptor/rp-prod13728
front 203 / rear 203
BT definitely sold the forks as ‘18 Debonair ones
Has it got 'H' engraved on the side?
I’d say that 203 mount from CRC is to fit an older fork that takes a 160mm rotor without a mount. I think you’ll want the front 183mm from CRC
Unfortunately I am 200 miles from the bike ... will check all old this on Sunday ...
Have you got the mount the right way up?

Look at the pdf downloads, they are better than the page. For a 180 mm post mount fork to 203 mm rotor it saysmount H.
Are you sure you have it the right way up? There is an arrow on them I think.
Sorry for not replying ... but a few days away.
The mount says Hope C mount ... It lifts the bake out by 18mm ... but more critically about 10mm up from original mounts ... oddly the brake work fine in a previous set of Revs ....
I guess CRC can have it back and I get a Hope H mount...
Because pre 2018 Revs are 160mm post mount.
Hi Teethgrinder ...
Thanks ... just looked that your attached diagram ...
So it does look like I need an H mount
Thanks for that
Nee bother. You could go up a size on the rotor instead...
As I am on 203s at the moment that might be a challenge ... (read original post)
I didn't realise that the did 223s ...
Since when
Ah, so you did! Don't go 223 - will void warranty on the forks. Just go 'H' mount.
