Just need to whack some Swarovski crystals on there, stick em on a bit of chain, and you'll be able to wear 'em down the club too. 😉

Not quite my cup of tea, but fair play for the DIY customisation, good effort!

Out of interest where did you get them done and do they do colours that aren't gold?

Erm, well, just so long as you like them.

I'm quite interested to see them on the bike. Mostly because I want to see what they look like fitted, but also because I'm curious as to what the rest of your bike looks like... 😀

Yeah the guy does any colour you like, except white obviously. I think black or grey is a bit more common, yeah drop him a mail he is a really nice guy and efficient and not expensive at all,

My big fat gypsy brakeset, you should get your frame airbrushed in Burberry. Joking aside I think they look kind of cool, I prefer the all silver myself tho.

Liking the idea, but not too sure about the colour. I think i would have kept some of the parts like the dials and levers the standard colour to break them up abit. Might go for red or blue myself...

MMMmmmmm I like the shiny shiny. As above though I think it would have been good to keep some parts black or something.

Is this your bike? 😯

[img] [/img]

Just spotted it over on the Intense forum on mtbr. I do like the gold Tracers and Tazers but I reckon black bits would look a little more, erm, understated 😆

Actually I've just noticed the garden too 😯

@philconsequence: You can anything that is aluminium done, think fork lowers are quite common, but steve seems happy to do any part of your bike.

@grum: Yeah Maybe I should have broken it up a bit, but as I was getting it done went all out, its easy to get some different colour reservoir caps from crc,

I might moving to dubia so i can wear the callipers as earings

i live very very near to this anodizing chap, might have to organise a meeting in which we discuss how best to pimp my cheap bike thus impressing strangers who know nothing about bikes and convincing them i must be a riding god.

i might need some new pedals though, to go with the shoes i've just ordered for my pimping exploits.

I'm not sure about the gold, but I do like the idea of getting everything the exact matching shade of anodising. Bling for £80, nice.

Keen to see em all fixed and on the bike.
Dont want to put a damper on your bling brakes but I had an email from Hope clearly saying that once they've been stripped and re-anodised the lever piston would leak.
However I have had mine done (email was received after the anodising!!) and they seem to be working very well, so fingers crossed.

I've just asked after a set of cranks - will be interesting to see what it'd cost. Gold or purple then? 🙂

gold crank purple chainrings 🙂

Stevo: I hope they dont leak that would suck after the hassle, I bet hope just say that as anodising is one of their major marketing strategies. Have you got any pictures of yours

After market hope bling is crazy,
Res Caps x4 = 25
Levers x 2 = 40
Bore caps x 2 = 20
Tool X 1 = 10

95 quid I got the whole lot done including rebuild and postage for alot less than that including lots of other bits!! So if they dont leak we are all gravy. Maybe this is why hope says things like that!?

Buying new lever bodies was my back up plan too. The brakes seem to work very well, but I coloured them from new so dont have any previous use to compare them too.

Get yours fitted and get some pics up!!!
