Are the shell widths the same on boost and none boost front hubs? One I have has a 90mm shell and the boost end caps. To run in a none boost fork new end caps or is it a no no?
Common sense suggests it’s a no no because of disc mount spacing?

Boost and non-Boost fronts are different.

Yes they are different, however standard can be made boost but boost cannot be made standard. All you have to do when you go from standard to boost is re dish the wheel because the extra 10mm goes on the non disc side. It actually makes the rim more central to the flanges but doesn't affect the disc spacing.
