Currently in the process of swapping from Shimano to Hope brakes with my existing Shimano shifter and I don't have the nut and bolt that connect the two together.
Since the Shimano brakes and shifter were on the bike from purchase I don't have them.
I did find an old thread on here that mentioned non-bike retailers, possibly Screwfix, that had the same or similar but, true to form, I can't find it now. Any ideas? I'd like to finish the rebuild this weekend if possible.
Ta muchly - looks like any M5 bolt and square nut will do. The slot is 8mm wide (measured with a bright green ruler!) so I assume that the relevant M5 nut is that wide.

@momo - that's the same link as in my original post! 😆 I'm a bit time limited hence the request, I don't want to have to wait until next Friday to finish things off.
Serves me right for not reading the OP in full!

I picked them up from screwfix. I'll see if I can dig out their part numbers...

Get these for the square nuts and use the M5 bolt from the Shimano levers, the bolt will sit a little proud so if you have a dremel or file nick about 3mm of the top otherwise it will dig into your bar slightly. A small washer under the bolt will also work.
Ta, I'll nip down to the local hardware store in the morning, they sell a variety of stuff as individual items so you don't have to buy a blister pack just to get one nut or bolt.
That took a bit of sorting. Local bike shop had the M5x16 bolt but not the nut. Ended up battling the traffic in Keighley to get a pack from Screwfix for the princely sum of 69p (had to haggle). Getting the bits took three times longer than fitting the shifter and brake together, installing new gear cable and outers, installing chain, indexing gears, aligning brakes, replacing seat post then tidying all the tools and rubbish away!
