I ordered the wrong parts for converting my RS4 front hub from QR to 12mm (bought 15mm, wasn't thinking).
However it's made me take the hub apart and realise for QR it's a complete axle, whereas the conversion kits are 2 end caps. Is this right? Assuming the 12mm end caps just pop into either end on the bearings, right?
But also, all RS4 12mm adapters seem to be centre lock, one side without a flange that would protect the bearings.
The only thing suitable in that case seems to be a Pro4 12mm adapter, which I assume is the same dimensions for this purpose.

Yes, it is correct that the qr is a through axle affair but the other options are push in/pull out. You can see all the various options here...
you can also just fit a sleeve which would probably be cheaper, assuming its none boost to none boost

Ah. You’re not going to like hearing this but I’ve got some 12mm end caps coming off a RS4 wheel set that I’m converting to QR.
Probably too late now you’ve ordered the parts.

Sorry to be an arse, but I’ve just been offered a carbon fork for my Genesis CDF, so I’m planning on keeping the axle caps in case I do fit the fork. Sorry.
I think I've been sent the wrong parts again - it says front on the packet, I think these are rear.
What hub have you got? Is it RS4 6bolt disc or centre lock disc?
What is in your package looks like a rear to me. I can ask a mate who has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Hope parts if that will help?
@bigblackshed it's an RS4 6 bolt. I agree, I think what I've been sent is a rear kit.
Is yours 6bolt or CL?

The serial numbers on your packet is correct for your hub, or so it seems, but the end caps certainly look like rears to me.
I’ve been through my spares box and all of the end caps I’ve got the rears look like your picture. All of the fronts both sides are black, it’s only the rears that the drive side is silver. None of what I have are the correct ones for your hub I’m afraid.
