Ordered new rim decals for my Hope DH's, do I need to remove the original decals or simply place the new decals over the existing rim decals?

The originals are brand new so no marks on them, just replacing to match the hubs like a proper tart.

Cheers.

I asked them this exact question and the answer was to remove the existing ones first.

I haven't attempted it yet and not sure I can be bothered to be honest

I’ve got same job to do.  I’m going to use hairdryer to remove and a bit of brake cleaner to tidy up prior to fitting.

There’s a very good chance I’ll put them on wonky!!

Keep me updated with your plans guys. I looked on Indi Print website, and for their decals they state to leave the originals on.

Really? If you're applying an invisframe kit, fair enough, but if you're applying new decals the old ones will show through any bumps or creases & the new ones would look tatty instantly.

only if you never ride your bike. I stuck new decals that weren't even the same size/shape (although they did cover them) over the existing ones, there's so much mud etc over them you can barely read them let alone notice a slight imperfection. They've only got to look OK from a distance anyway, who is peering up close at other peoples wheels?! Obviously if you are a tart then yes remove & clean the wheels religiously before applying the new decals.

I would've thought someone who is buying new stickers would be a little on the tart side...

As a Hope aficionado I've found that the best thing about the rim decals is their use as a toy for the cat! 🙂 He loves them.
