I'm thinking about buying a hope r2 to use on my road bike and as a head torch out running but looking around last night there seems to be two different pics used but no mention of the 'new' one is new or not, the other one can be found cheaper too, anyone know?

Isn't the only difference between those two the fact that one is shown attached to its bar mount?

It's the same light, it comes with bar mount, helmet mount and headstrap in the box, you CAN buy two different versions one with a 2 cell battery and one with a 4 cell battery, 4 cell battery is bulkier and heavier but obviously lasts tons longer. Hope that helps.

I would, I just bought one with the 4 cell battery and it's pretty ace!

ordered one, 115quid, definitely should be enough illumination for the 10mile coast path run i'm doing in a few weekends time down here near lands end.

quite fancy a district rear now as well so i can use the roadbike at night round the local completely unlit lanes in the winter.
