My freewheel on my hope pro 3 hub is losing its nice clicky sound so I'm guessing it's time for a regrease. Thing is I've watched the videos and I can't get the damn quick release adopter out of the hub. Is there a knack to this that I've missed? I've tried pulling on it with pliers t it's not for budging.

Take the non drive side adapter off. Knock the axle out from the non drive side then you'll find it easier to work with. They do stick tight over time though.

Clamp with molgrips, pliers often won't do.

Clamp with molegrips then lever off with 2 screwdrivers under the jaws of the molegrips.

its just the rubber o ring that sits inside the adaptors it just needs a wiggle i find a set of pipe grips perfect for this.

Look on this as an opportunity to buy mole grips.
