Not being clued up on this modern stuff, I was thinking 142mm, which I know pro4 has adaptors for, but 141mm boost im really unsure about.
Basically I've got a rear pro4 135mm and was wanting a new frame, but its listing as 141mm boost(Sonder V1) so was wondering if its a simple matter of buying the hope adaptor kit for 135mm-142mm and that would do the job.

Ta.
If not i can opt for sonder wheels, maybe better idea now I think on it.

Boost is 148mm. Not 141.

You can either get extenders which is basically a small spacer either side and a spacer for the rotor, or you can get Hope end caps, but you'll then need to get your wheel re-dished to center it.

I don't understand at all what 141mm boost is... it's not a term i've seen.

Unfortunately it doesn't quite work like that. If you tried to use the 142mm kit on your non boost hub the 12mm diameter axle would be too wide for the QR dropouts on the frame (hub axle diameter needs to be 9mm)

You'd need a boost hope hub that was 148mmx12 then put QRend caps on to reduce it in to 141xqr, like how putting qr end caps on a 142x12 non boost hub changes the spacing to 135xqr. You could probably space out a non boost hub with a boostinator kit but I think hope only do one for making a non boost hub fit 148x12 thru axle frames.

So it is workable but it would be easier to get a new boost pro4 rather than use the non boost one you already have.

Not sure if that explains it very well. A 141 Qr hub is what you get when you put qr end caps on a boost hub, like when you put QR End caps on a 142x12 hub it becomes 135xQR - reduces hub spacing by 7mm and spindle diameter from 12mm axle to 9mm Qr

Yeah it's not very common, until this thread I actually thought it was only Marin who did it on a bike packing/touring thing they released a while back, Sonder Frontiers might be made in the same factory or be rebadged versions of them?

A quick Google shows that trek Roscoe's and Voodoo zobops do the same thing...

141mm QR Boost frames are getting more popular, still rare but more are slowly appearing. It's not possible to convert a Hope 135/142 to 141 QR Boost but, as Gotbike says, if you fit QR end spacers (spacer kit HUB238) to a Pro 2 Evo or Pro 4 148mm Boost hub it becomes a 141mm QR Boost.

@Gotbike
No, understand fully. done a bit of research soon as i saw the funny size and the other reviews were saying its for 148mm reduced down.

Maybe this is why the F/F is only £200 😆

All in all its beginning to look like for too much hassle 😕

Not even half seven and I've already learned something.

And in typical cycling fashion it's a new standard.

Not a new standard. Been around for years just not widely used.

what gotbike said

I fitted some Hope wheels for a mate who needed 141mm. Just a boost hub with QR caps.
