I'm trying to work out with adapters I need to convert a Hope Pro 4 super boost (157 mm) rear hub to normal boost (148 mm).
But it isn't obvious which one I need. I wish they would use diagrams on their tech support...
Can anyone help?
I’d start by checking the length of hub shell - I’d expect Super Boost to be longer than Boost by about 9mm with the same end caps, meaning it won’t work?
I think you might be right.
I found something to this effect on a German website.
Oh well off to find a new hub
looks like hubs is 8mm wider
I think I've seen some other 157mm hubs can be turned into 150mm by using endcaps from their 135mm hub, longer endcaps turn a 135 to 142, those same 142 endcaps go on a boost hub shell to make 148mm, so you can only end up with 150 at best if 135 endcaps work then machine a mm off each, but don't know what that'll do for rotor spacing. I think a 150mm hub won't work in a boost frame cos the rotor mount is totally wrong, it's not just a matter of spreading the stays out slightly.
Needs a new hub.
135/142 are interchangeable
141/148 are interchangeable
150/157 are interchangeable
135/142 can be adapted to 148 with aftermarket adaptors - not always recommended by the hub manufacturer.
