I have a Pro II 135mm 12mm through axle that I want to run on a 135mm traditional QR bike... do I just need QR end caps or a complete axle and ends?
Cheers!
Thanks, looks like I need an axle and end caps.
Anyone got a 135mm QR Pro II axle with end caps for sale?
Cheers 🙂
Yeah, I've recently changed my Pro 2 Evo hubs to thru axles, from QR, and all I needed was the end caps. Don't think they'll fit the non Evo hubs though
@andy5390 Evo is different to the old school pro 2.
@guglielmo Technically you should swap the axle to the QR version. However you can just fit the end caps. My last originally pro 2 currently has the 142x12 axle fitted (which I believe is the same axle part as the 135x12 with wider end caps) with QR end caps. Your difficulty would be finding the end caps without the axle as they were sold as a set. The evo caps are not compatible.
OP- I think I’ve got what you need. Drop me a PM if you’re interested. Can root through the shed tomorrow afternoon

Yeah but... The 12mm axle in these is really too weak for the job, they tend to snap even with a solid 12mm spindle in it. Putting all the strain through the tips is asking for trouble.
Thanks for the replies guys, better play it safe and get axle and caps I think
Good point northwind. I'll be swapping mine with the next bearing change but couldn't be bothered when it's in use on a gravel bike.
