Hey I was giving my wheels a clean today and re greased all the seals when I somehow managed to pull the free hub off too so took the opportunity to give thata cLean and regrease too and put it back together and made sure the seal was seated correctly. Itall looks good and feels good. However I just watched the hope video and they use a tool to seat the free hub is this essential or is pushing it on ok?

Tha is for your help

Nah, just push it on. I use a tyre lever usually. Hope sell lots of very nice, expensive tools for Pro 2s none of which are neccesary.

If you don't seat it I've seen them fall off when the qr is out. I had one I had to field strip that was 12mm so axle was out during transport. Constantly picking up pawls all holiday.

I bought the tool and could never get that loud click they have on the video. They just come off and go back on with no effort on my pro2 and 3 hubs, feel cheated.

It feels pretty seated I just didn't hear that click... Should be a gooden 🙂 ill double check 2moro.

My reasoning behind leaning it all up was my bike is making a squeaking noise when I pedal. It's not the pedals themselves I checked that. The cranks don't squeak when span with no chain on so figure it's not that... I've regressed my wheel so not that I'm pretty sure it's not the brake but not confirmed yet... Which leaves the derailleur which is pretty new, but have been on some wet muddy rides lately so I'll remove and regrease the jockey wheels 2moro... But if it's not that then I'm out of ideas, any others things I could check while I do this?
