Hello all.

I'm was tinkering this avo fitting my new wheels & to my horror my 11 speed cassette doesn't fit!!! 🙁

Can I just buy a freehub or is the hub slightly different?

I have just bought them & needed to wait til they came in stock, so i think they must not be long off the production line if that makes a difference?

Thanks,

Alan.

Are we talking 11 speed road or mtb?

Need to change to an XD free hub and also you will need a specific axle end cap as standard ones foul the lockring. Or you can just file down the regular one.

An end cap is supplied with the Driver body but worth noting should you need to switch axles

Yes, Shimano 105 11 speed cassette (11-28)

It won't fit because I have the wrong freehub (I've got a 'HUB523' for 8, 9 & 10 speed)

I need a 'HUB528'.....

This answers my question:

You don't need an XD body, nor will it fit what you have (as you've found). the 11 speed road freehub bodies can be retrofitted to the newest Pro2 hubs with 40t engagement. I'd assume that's what yours is as it's new. So you just need the freehub you're pictured yes.

Speak to the shop then to Hope directly, if its unused I think you'll be able to swap...

WHat CX tyres are going on those rims? Strike me as wide for CX duties.

I run 35mm Maxxis Raze on Arch EX. They come up really quite big and comfy.

Running 32's on it.

The Stans are only 3mm wider than the rims that came on the bike.

I chose the Arch EX over the Crest for the extra strength (15 ish stone)
