Hello all.
I'm was tinkering this avo fitting my new wheels & to my horror my 11 speed cassette doesn't fit!!! 🙁
Can I just buy a freehub or is the hub slightly different?
I have just bought them & needed to wait til they came in stock, so i think they must not be long off the production line if that makes a difference?
Thanks,
Alan.
Are we talking 11 speed road or mtb?
It's a CX bike, but MTB wheels (Stans Arch EX)
Need to change to an XD free hub and also you will need a specific axle end cap as standard ones foul the lockring. Or you can just file down the regular one.
An end cap is supplied with the Driver body but worth noting should you need to switch axles
Got this off Merlin Cycles:
HUB528 Alloy / Shimano 8,9,10,11 speed
Shimano 11 speed casette?
Pro 2 'Evo' are 11 speed compatible for 11 speed shimano road cassettes - how wont it fit?
You don't need an XD body, nor will it fit what you have (as you've found). the 11 speed road freehub bodies can be retrofitted to the newest Pro2 hubs with 40t engagement. I'd assume that's what yours is as it's new. So you just need the freehub you're pictured yes.
Yes, it's a 40T hub 🙂
Speak to the shop then to Hope directly, if its unused I think you'll be able to swap...
I was going to suggest the very same.
WHat CX tyres are going on those rims? Strike me as wide for CX duties.
Ive got 35mm cx tyres on my crests no problems at all
I run 35mm Maxxis Raze on Arch EX. They come up really quite big and comfy.
