I've had a Hope PF41 BB fitted by my LBS. After a couple of rides I noticed a scuffing sound coming when I turned the cranks. Took them apart when I got home and realised it was the BB outer seal ring scuffing up against the bearing. I cleaned it all up, put some grease on and put back together. All was well, however the sound has come back progressively and tonight I took it apart again and noticed that I'd put the seal rings on a different way around on each side. There is a more prominent bit sticking out on one side of the seal than the other. The NDS had the more prominent bit facing in and it was full of crap on the inside, the bearing on that side isn't turning too well either now.
Has anybody else had this scuffing problem?
