F20 PEDAL
NEW for 2013!!
The pedals feature a fully CNC machined platform out of 2014 T6 Aluminium alloy with anodised finish (All 6 Hope colours).
The axle is made of high strength Cr-Mo, heat treated and plated. The platform is slightly concave in shape and is supported by one Norglide bush and 3 cartridge bearings in a fully sealed chamber to ensure a long lasting and maintenance free running .
The 20 replaceable pins per pedal will provide excellent traction and grip.
Yours for only £107 on Merlin I saw this morning.
However they do look nice.
Which I thought was a lot till I looked at the prices of flat pedals.

You could get Point one podiums for that from CRC.
But....... how thin are they?
Missus has been riding Nukeproof Neutrons for about 2 years, and they've yet to develop any play at all. That's including a few 24 hour races - so the Hope pedals would have to have sealing up to that standard.
To be fair the sealing in the Nukeproofs is pretty crappy, in the inboard side the seal can float away and let the crap in. My set one side is fine, the other died horribly due to the above.
Was very tempted by a set of the Hopes but i went for the Specialized Bennies in the end, have Vaults on my main bike and they aren't too bad - the bushes need knocking back in every couple of weeks and a bit of grease adding but they do get a hard life and when i bent an axle it was only about a fiver to replace so happy with those.
The Point One Podiums mentioned above were rubbish for me, i killed the bearings in my nds pedal in less than 6 months, poor design imo, lovely pedals but not designed for riding often and in uk conditions, i got a refund on mine luckily from crc.
Those jockey wheels are daft.
I'll deffo end up with a set.
Just bought them will ride this weekend and post any thoughts on Monday.
Out of the box they look nice, suspect will be very grippy (20 pins per pedal - albeit I have reframed from fitting all the pins at this time).
The surface is very slightly concave which is usually a good thing, plus it had raised fins across the face which should aid grip.
I have a history of trying most bling pedals, Podium Point Ones, DMR vaults (ti axle), Nukeproof Neutrons (ti axle), Canefield Crampons, etc
I am hoping Hope will have done something well protected for UK Winter and with bags of grip. Only complaint not that light, 390grams.
Seem like a large platform - like a DMR vault.
I wonder if they're working on a dropper post...
