Can any recommend good quality Hope Mono 4 Sintered pads. The genuine Hope
ones work well but don't like paying over £12 for a set. i have bought a cheap
set before they wore out after one ride. There must be good cheap
ones available.
You have the answer in your post genuine hope ones work well and last a long time. Buy cheap buy twice.
Buying a set every couple of thousand miles as I do I only buy orginal sintered unless nowt else is available
Fibrax pads have been pretty good in my M4's (not mono) and Enduro's in sintered flavour.
Not sure where you can get hold of them now though
Been running A2Z in my Mono Minis for a couple of years now, they seem to perform as well as the originals on all counts. Not actually heard any horror stories about them either, whether it be from customers that use them, or on this forum.
Dare I say it...superstar reds. Mine have been on forever and a day and are faultless.
I'll get my coat now.
I buy old Shimano XT sintered BR-M755 pads off ebay for £3-5 because they are obsolete (as a Shimano part) but identical fitting as Hope Mono M4. RRP was £14.95, but because not many people still run that old Shimano brake, they go for peanuts. Top quality at Aldi price 8)
+1 for A2Z's here for the last few years after trying most of the other budget pads. But I too have also recently cottoned onto the original Shimano XT's idea too.
Superstar sintered pads are fine in my mono m4's and I've now put a set in my tech m4's to replace the horrible standard pads.
